Cookie policy
This page lists every cookie this website can set, what each one does and how long it lasts. It is the companion to our privacy policy, which covers personal data more broadly.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store, so that something can be remembered between one page and the next, or between one visit and the next. Some cookies are needed for a site to work at all. Others exist to count visits and understand which pages are read.
A few items listed below are technically entries in your browser’s local or session storage rather than cookies. They do the same job, so we list them here rather than hiding them behind a distinction that makes no difference to you.
Our approach
Cookies that are not strictly necessary are not set until you accept them. Nothing is counted, and no analytics cookie is written, before you make a choice in the banner.
We run no advertising cookies, no social media pixels and no third-party analytics. The only cookies on this site are the ones below, and they come from the platform the site runs on.
This website is built on HubSpot CMS, which also provides the contact form and our customer records. The cookies below are set by HubSpot and by Cloudflare, which serves the site.
Giving and changing your choice
The first time you visit, a banner asks whether you accept cookies that are not strictly necessary. You can accept or decline, and you can accept some categories and not others.
Your choice is remembered, which is itself done with a cookie — __hs_cookie_cat_pref in the table below. To change your mind later, clear this site’s cookies in your browser and the banner will appear again on your next visit.
Strictly necessary cookies
These are set without consent, because the site cannot be delivered securely without them or because they record a privacy choice you have already made. None of them are used to track you across sites.
| Name | Duration | What it does |
|---|---|---|
__cf_bm | 30 minutes | Cloudflare bot protection — tells automated traffic from real visitors |
__cfruid | Session | Cloudflare request routing and rate limiting |
__cfuvid | Session | Cloudflare rate limiting |
__hs_opt_out | 6 months | Remembers that you declined cookies, so you are not asked again on every page |
__hs_cookie_cat_pref | 6 months | Records which cookie categories you accepted |
__hs_initial_opt_in | 7 days | Stops the banner reappearing before you have made a choice |
__hs_do_not_track | 6 months | Prevents the tracking code from sending any data, when set |
__hs_gpc_banner_dismiss | 180 days | Records that you dismissed the Global Privacy Control notice |
hs_ab_test | Session | Keeps you on the same version of a page if we are comparing two |
Analytics cookies
These are set only if you accept them. They tell us how many people visit, which pages are read and how visitors arrive. We use that to decide what to write, not to build a profile of you.
| Name | Duration | What it does |
|---|---|---|
__hstc | 6 months | The main analytics cookie — records when your first, previous and current visits began, and how many visits you have made |
hubspotutk | 6 months | Identifies your browser so that a form submission can be matched to the right record instead of creating a duplicate |
__hssc | 30 minutes | Counts page views within a single visit and determines when a visit has ended |
__hssrc | Session | Detects whether you have restarted your browser, so a new session is counted correctly |
__hmpl | Session or persistent | Storage entry holding analytics event details before they are sent |
hublytics_events_53 | Temporary | Storage entry queueing analytics events for sending |
If we ever add live chat to the site, it would set further cookies to keep your conversation open between pages. We would list them here before switching it on.
Third-party and advertising cookies
There are none. We do not run Google Analytics, Google Ads, a Meta pixel, a LinkedIn tag or any other third-party tracker, and we do not embed content that sets cookies on our behalf.
If that changes, this page is updated before the change goes live, not after.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Independently of our banner, every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, for all sites or for this one. The controls are usually under Settings, then Privacy. Your browser’s help pages describe the exact steps, which change with each version.
Blocking all cookies everywhere will break parts of many sites, including ours. Blocking only non-essential cookies is the measured version of the same thing, and our banner does it for you.
What happens if you decline
The site works. You can read every page, submit the contact form and book a call.
What we lose is the ability to see which pages brought you here — and that is our problem, not yours. The one practical effect on you is that if you return and submit a form again, we may not recognise the two submissions as coming from the same person.
Changes to this policy
If we add, remove or change a cookie, we update the tables above and the date at the top of this page.
